Ahhhh, Spring!

After it snowing on the first day of Spring here, I was a bit discouraged and blue. And although our yard is still a muddy mess from the snow melting so quickly and it raining a lot recently, I am SO feeling Spring!!!

It's supposed to be in the 70's this week!!! YAY!!!

Kaiden did get to enjoy some chilly park time over the weekend. Unfortunately, he had his first "big" fall at the park that I'm always afraid of because he has no fear of those tall, steep steps, big slides and don't get too close edges. Anyhoo, his foot twisted and he fell through the railing. UGGHH! He fell on his head and his neck bent. My heart stopped and I cuddled his SCREAMS!!

He's tough, though. Real tough.

Once he calmed down and I checked for any broken body parts, he said "bye bye park" in a whimper and we were on our way.

I remember saying to Jordan that I hope he's not afraid next time we come to the park and it's no surprise that he wasn't when his Mimi and Aunt JoJo took him today. I got word that HE HAD A BLAST!!

And now, my heart is smiling...

Sneak Peek - Big Boy Room!

A few weeks ago, Kaiden started sleeping in his big boy bed. No more crib!! He was a total rockstar and has been sleeping like a champ! He even stays in bed until we come in the room to get him!! I swear, he has got to be the easiest kid when it comes to stuff like this. We are so so blessed!

So, of course, with a new bed, comes a new big boy room!!!! Here is a little sneak peek of the changes I've made. An Art Wall!!! This change cost all of $0!! The desk was a Christmas gift from Aunt Brandi and Uncle Chris. He already had the dots all over his room, so I just put them all in one place. Add some fishing line, blue clothes pins I already had and his beautiful art... and ta-da!!! Easy peasy!!

It's definitely one of our favorite spots in the house! There's nothing better than watching him create art and displaying for all of us to enjoy!!

More to come, stay tuned...

Go Crazy!!

Kaiden's favorite show, Yo Gabba Gabba, has Dancy Dancy Time where they teach a few dance steps. Afterwards, they Go Crazy and dance however their little hearts desire.

It started last weekend when Mimi was over. Kaiden was being a little ham and was just, well...going crazy. Now, it's one of his favorite things to do. Last night, he wanted to watch the Go Crazy part of the show over and over and over again. It was too cute!

He seriously makes me laugh SO much!! He makes me see things on a different level. He breathes life into my soul on a daily basis!! He's my joy, my sunshine, my crazy little munchkin! I love him.

His Creativity.

At first glance, he looks just like Kevin...
...but when you look a little deeper, he is his mother's son. =)

Emporia Zoo

After Dakota and Anabelle's bday party a couple weeks ago, we were planning to visit Grandma Toots and Grandpa Jr. They ended up being sick, so we decided to go to the Emporia Zoo instead.

This place is cool. It's small and free, but fun nonetheless. Kaiden LOVES it too, so that's all that really matters.

Love this mountain lion...can you believe we have these in the U.S.?
A not-so-nice swan and cute little duckie...
My pumpkin wondering why I'm taking his picture when all those cool animals were around! ;-)
Ok, these things were FREAKY!! I couldn't look directly in their eyes. Kevin had to take this pic. They made these weird evil moaning sounds too. Ummm, yeah, moving on...
Trying to see the peacocks. He loves peacocks, but they were pretty far away... =(
OH, and my favorite part of this zoo. The DEER!!!
If you're patient enough, you're sure to get one to climb under this gate and come up to the fence...
And you can pet it, if you're brave enough. They are SO sweet!! This one was licking the fence post and rubbing it's head on the fence. Just being so so sweet!
We had a great time and Kaiden knocked out in the car pretty quickly!!
SWEET BOY!!!!

Doggie Bed?

I bought a cute new doggie bed for Kaiden's room so when we are in there playing the dogs feel they have a place to chill.

Kaiden, however, thinks it's HIS new bed/reading/chillin' spot. HA!
He kicks the dogs out and barks like a dog when I say "Kaiden, that's a doggie bed." lol.
We're working on it.

Making Monies!

We try to explain to Kaiden why we leave every day and go off to work.

"Mama & Dada have to go to work to make money."

"Money buys food, clothes, toys and our home."

Yadda. Yadda Yadda.

Now, when we're leaving, he says "work?" and "monies?" And we say "yes, honey, we have to go off to work and make money." and he usually seems content with that.

Kevin started a new job and is so far loving it!! Whoop! He took us to his office one afternoon to see his new digs.

Here's Kaiden making monies...
Making calls...
Computin' numbers...
and...
he made a SALE!..
WHOOHOOOO!!!!!
(don't mind the wetness on his pants, he was drinking from a big boy cup in the car!)

And that, my friends, is some good work training! ;-)

Freaky!!

This is actually him playing hide-and-seek with a woman sitting behind us at a restaurant. I could not stop laughing at how freaky he looked! ha! Notice the fork in his hand, too!! WHOA! Maybe he'll be an actor in scary movies. ;-)

Here are a few more pics from the same place...just 'cuz!

Pee Pee in the Pot-tay!!

It all started with Kaiden standing in the bath, starting to relieve himself.

Kevin quickly grabbed a plastic bowl that Kaiden plays with in the bath.

And a revolution began.

Ok, not really. But he peed in the bowl and realized how cool it was. And how excited we were!

For the rest of his bath time I would pop in and sing "pee pee in the pot-tay!" and he would laugh and laugh.

I think he felt a sense of accomplishment, even.

And this happened:

..for the rest of the weekend! Not every time he had to pee, but often. =)

And when he tried, but couldn't go, he would say "broken"..haha!

For now, we are keeping it casual. He is still afraid to actually sit on the potty.

So, one day at a time. But, honestly, pretty exciting stuff!!!!!!

A rainy day.

It was rainy yesterday and by 9 o'clock Kaiden was mildly driving me crazy! ha! (what?? I'm just being honest!) I came to the conclusion that staying in the house was not a good idea, for either of us.

So, what to do??

Yup, go to our fav place (on a bad weather day) the FREE Nature Conservatory!

This time, he was less interested in the animals and more interested in their little activity area.

We colored..

We stacked blocks...
Ok, we actually had a contest to see who could stack the most blocks. It took awhile b/c Kaiden kept knocking them down and laughing. Ha! He's a noodle.

The final scores - Jo=10, Me=10, Kaiden=6

I bet if he was a bit older, he would have totally kicked our butts.

Pretty impressive little guy, huh?

An hour and a half later, we left to eat some lunch.

Jo wanted Wendy's. So that's where we went.

I think Kaiden was happy. =)

How do you spend your rainy days??

Cuteness Overload!!

I know these pictures are horrible quality, but they were too cute not to share/document!

Yesterday, Jordan and I had some sister time. We went to Mexican and then did a little shopping. Kaiden went through our bags when we got home and found JoJo's new hat and modeled it for a good portion of the night. He also found his gift that JoJo picked up which was an Elmo coloring book with stickers!! (the Elmo pj's are also from Jordan, it was his V Day gift....I know, he's spoiled!)

He loves stickers.

And Elmo.

He was set for the night! =)

Uhh, I could seriously eat up the cuteness!!!
