As for shapes, he knows circle, triangle and flower. Flower is a shape! According to his new etch-a-sketch anyway! ;)
We did a lot of reading this weekend too. We went through his book of "first 100 words" and this boy can pretty much recognize and say (hmm, I would say) 85% of the words! I need to count next time we go through to be sure! When people ask how many words he can say, I say all of them. I say this because he can pretty much repeat everything you say. =)
He has never really showed interest in his stuffed animals until now. I think he likes to think of them as his babies. He carries them around and sometimes shares his water/juice/milk with them. His all time favorite thing to do with them is give them medicine and say that they are sick. Haha. It's pretty darn cute! Lately, I've caught him whispering to them. He gets very intense too, it is soooooo funny to watch! He doesn't really like real-life babies, so don't think he's ready for a little brother or sister yet! ha!
At least one point throughout the day, he likes to get up on our bed and play. We usually draw or throw the ball back and forth from the floor to the bed. Lately, however, he has found a new bed activity. He'll probably kill me for writing this when he's older, but I think it's funny & cute. He likes to play in my makeup bag! He likes to put the blush brushes on our cheeks and "do" our makeup. JoJo and I even let him draw on our faces with lipstick one night! ha! He thought that was pretty awesome! ;) Luckily, he has a dada that's perfectly comfortable in his sexuality that it doesn't bother him. He even lets Kaiden do his makeup too!
Last but not least, this boy LOVES music. He says "music" when he wants you to turn some tunes on. The other day, him, JoJo and I where jammin' to MJ. We were dancing around clapping our hands (which he did for the first time while dancing) and when the song "Beat It" came on he went to town! He's has a special dance for it. He puts one arm up with his hand in a fist, puts it down, puts his other arm up hand in a fist, puts it down and then stomps his feet really fast. It is SO DARN FUNNY! He even says "beat it" at the appropriate times too. I guess it's safe to say that that's his jam! ha!

And just so I don't leave you without a picture (which I didn't take with my real camera the entire weekend!)..here is Kaiden bundled up in whatever we could find since Dada had his coat and hat in his car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*note: he had gloves on, but took them off to eat his snack.
He was sweating when we got home! Oops! Sometimes this mama overdoes it! ha! At least he was warm!
Happy New Year!!

It sounds to me like he's thriving! Only kids with great parents thrive ;)
