In a Nutshell.

Today is Saturday, September 12th. Goose is 17 months old today!! Wow! Time flies. I constantly think of how much he has grown and what an amazing little guy he has become. He is no longer a baby. In fact, when I hold him close and hug him tight (as long as he'll let me) I rock him and say "awww, you're my baby!" and he laughs at me. HE even knows he's not a baby anymore! lol.

Anyways, I'm getting off track. I wanted to share our day with you! Goose woke up this morning and didn't want his diaper changed. He screamed to get off of the changing table. I usually don't budge, but it was 7:30 in the morning and I wanted to start our day off right. So, I let him down and decided to change him in the living room. He RAN down the hall screaming "abba!" "abba!" (In Goose language, that means gabba. If you haven't heard, Yo Gabba Gabba is all the rage. I think it's a bunch of people on the best high of their lives, but at least they teach good manners, promote healthy eating & dance 60% of the time. He doesn't get to watch it every day.) and jumps up onto the couch. This is the first time he has ever done this. It was too fricken cute! I just couldn't resist. So I turned on abba and changed his diaper. I made him a little picnic of cheerios, banana and milk and myself some coffee. We enjoyed 30 minutes on the couch together for breakfast. Believe it or not, it was awesome! Kado thought so too. ;)

(don't mind my dirty couch and so-not-matching pillow & blanket with the curtains. I cleaned the couch today and the living room is a work in progress)

Speaking of progress, here is a new (to me, used to the previous owner) papasan chair I got for a fricken steal! You wouldn't even believe it if I told you!! So, I won't. I wouldn't want you to be jealous, ya know?? ;) It's a little big for the space, but I love it. Goose and the rest of the gang love it too. So, with a few alterations of sorts, I'm happy with it!

After our breakfast picnic on the couch, we were off to Walmart. Fun! Ahem. This boy is so like his father in many ways, but let me tell you, he's like his mama too!!

He's impatient. He HAD to have string cheese while grocery shopping AND he just HAD to eat some blueberries too! Haha...I always want to open up and eat something while I shop. I know, that's ghetto, I didn't say I did it! But, for my babe, I'll do anything to make him smile! Here he is waiting in line chowing down on some berries.

And, this is what he did when I said "say cheese"...TOTALLY a ham like his mama! :)

His new coloring book...

..and crayons! I wish he used his coloring book more. ha!

Then, after a nap and lunch, we headed off to the park! It was fun and Goose climbed up and went down the slide by himself for the first time!! He was starting to make a little friend too, that referred to him as "awww, little baby!", until some good old fashion wife-beating started Mmhmm, you read right. It was so stupid. A bunch of loud, classless rednecks were having a children's birthday party. One of the wives was putting the bike in her car. The husband said she was going to break the window and call her stupid. The yelling began, but they were all getting ready to leave so, stupidly, I decided to stay. Then he was yelling at her in the car and hit her. Couldn't tell you how many times or even what was really going on, but I heard one of the other chicks saying she was calling the police. I grabbed Goose up and rushed to my car telling JoJo to get in the back seat and take him. Before she could even buckle him in, I was speeding out of the parking lot..shaking. We were ok and Goose didn't even notice what happened. If there weren't other people there, I would have called the police. Domestic violence scares the crap out of me and I was going on pure instinct. For my child. For JoJo. For myself. I know what you're thinking...gosh, what a ghetto neighborhood, don't ever go there again!!...but, I promise, it has never been the case! It's always so quiet there and I've never even heard a child get in trouble, let alone adults yelling and fighting. But, unfortunately, I probably won't be going back for a good while.

We came home, had a snack and played on our own playground! All-in-all, a good day!!

Our Saturday, in a (big) nutshell! ;)

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

It already feels like fall here. It's been raining almost every day. Blah! But, we gotta keep our self entertained some how. The other morning Goose climbed into a laundry basket and I tied a tie to it and pulled him around the whole house over and over. Fun times!

Don't cry booboo, we can do it again later! ;)

This morning, although muggy as heck, we went for a walk. Here Goose is ready to go!

He always makes sure to stay hydrated on our little adventures!

This pic is awesome! Love every single bit of it! :)

And..a video. Playing in the puddles and if you listen really close, you can hear Goose say "bless you" after I sneeze. Awww, he's my sweet boy!!

Raw.

I would say about 99% of this blog is positive. I rarely vent or complain and that is truly because 99% of my life is wonderfully fantabulous! However, with everything great, there is something not-so-great. For the past couple weeks, as far as finances go, we've been on the not-so-great side of things. First, tmobile overcharged us by a lot. Causing $350 in overdraft fees on our account. We were reimbursed...over a week later. Ok, stuff happens! I get that. Thanks for the refund ya'll..but seriously, it was YOUR bad and you sure do yank the money OUT of my account with a quickness, so why does it take SO long to give it back? But, anyways, that was nothing. Yesterday, we experienced something that we've only read about. Something we thought could never happen to us. We were SO wrong! It turns out that someone got a hold of McDreamy's bank card number (and I'm assuming security code since they were able to use it on the Internet). Yup! You read right. It started with a $100 charge that I noticed yesterday morning from a paypal account. We don't use paypal, so I knew something was up. But, you know, yesterday was a holiday, so there was no one to call. Well, by the time McDreamy got home from work last night, there was over $1300 worth of fraudulent charges on our account!!! I.still.can't.believe.it! Keep in mind we still have pending items of charges WE made that haven't gone through yet!! I'm exhausted. I don't know how this happened. McDreamy doesn't even use his card on the Internet that much. I pay the bills every month (using my card when necessary) AND I buy a lot of things of the Internet with MY card, not his. So, how did this happen? I'm so mad. So pissed! So irate!!! I wish I could find the little punk in Delaware and punch him right in the face!! Mmhmmm...we know this punk is in Delaware. There were two charge-backs to our account, so McDreamy contacted one of those companies and they had that 24-hour live chat thing. The guy he spoke to said his company noticed the address used for the purchase did not match our billing address. So, they charged us back (thank you!). He also asked if we had a card ending in ****. We did not. So they charged that account back too b/c it was used by the same prick that used ours! Fun times. Anyways, McDreamy is going to the bank this morning to try and work this madness out. Pray for us ya'll!! I cannot take anymore bad news!

On that note, when stuff like this happens, emotions tend to run wild. And, although the following has nothing to do with why I'm so frustrated right now, this is what came out.

Why don't I fit in with this ordinary crowd?
I listen and I'm quiet when they're obnoxious and loud.
I try and relate to their lame ass stories.
Sorry that nail polish color is the least of my worries!
I dye my own hair while they go to the salon.
Does that make me any less because I'm not a "natural" blonde?
My eyebrows are thick and I pluck them real thin.
They cake on the make-up and pencil theirs in!
I don't have a trainer and am on the chubbier side,
But at least I didn't need my dad to co-sign my ride!
Speaking of dads, mine left when I was eight.
Didn't realize the effect until I started to date.
Yup, that's right, I didn't marry my high school sweetheart.
In fact, my love life was jacked right from the start!
No worries, though, that's all in the past,
But don't judge when I truthfully answer the questions you ask!
Truthfully speaking, I don't have a degree.
But thinking your so much better while making less money than me?
It just doesn't add up, just like your morals.
Married in a church, but stressed over florals?
I'm sure God really cares about the perfect shade of pink.
Does it really matter what other people think?
Oh yeah, to you people, it does!
What ever happened to the sanctity of love?
Quality of life is so much more than quantity.
Just being around you people makes me lose my sanity!!
So, why don't I fit in?..it's the question at hand.
Well...

I come from at place of culture, on the other side of land.
