Shopping with Kaiden

We did some shopping on Saturday for Kevin's birthday. Kaiden was a pretty typical kid as he ran through isle's of clothing, hiding from his frantic parents mama who was trying to balance helping her husband pick out new work clothes and keeping an eye on her little one.

I think everyone in the store knew his name before we left since I kept having to repeat

"Kaiden, where are you?"

"Kaiden, stay by mama!"

"Kaiden, follow daddy!"

"Kaiden? Kaiden?! Kaiden!! Don't scare me!"

ha ha ha. Shame on me for promising him he didn't have to ride in the cart b/c he was so good at the other stores we had already been to. HA! I dealt with it b/c I don't want to be a mama that breaks promises. It's just not me. Plus he was having a blast and you're just not a kid being a kid if you don't hide in the clothes racks. Am I right?

My favorite part at this particular store was him playing on a display (yes, I am one of those parents). He loved this little chair and side trunk/table. As Kevin tried on clothes, he kept entertained rearranging pillows and shoving animal stuffies into the trunk. If it wasn't for the awful color of the chair and large price tag, I probably would have bought it for him. Doesn't he look so cute? And the trunk...adorable!
